Back in training
no bloody aircon
I'm back blogging, and i'm Giordano right now...or NYP's Giordano storeroom. Its been a week that's been blighted by both boredom and some sense of excitement...and let me start with the boredom.

This is a gentle reminder to report to NYP, B110 at 2p.m on 05/10/2007 for TEP Briefing. Pls call 6550-1109 for enquiries. Thk u

I'm bored...
Yea! Giordano will be over in a week or so, and it's back to training!
Anybody like to join me in this challenge? Got the idea from the slowtwitch forums, and it's a great motivational tool.
Basically, it's 100 runs in 100 days.
The goal of this entire thing is to lay down a solid run base by doing volume through frequency in short bursts of running. The minimum requirement is doing 30 minutes for the run to count. It can be outdoors or on a treadmill, but it must be running (no water running, no bogus elliptical trainer...). Walking does not count...there must be 2 feet off the ground at some point in every stride (the difference between race walking and running).
For a run to count as a double, it must be separated by at least 1 hour. I have to pick a duration to separate 2 runs and it can't be 1 minute or 5 minutes, and putting 1 hour in between means that I will allow you to count a run-swim-run, run-bike-run, run-wts-run, run-XC ski-run, run-McDonalds-run as 2 sessions as long as the thing in between lasts for at least 1 hour (be it 40K on the bike, or a session at the donut shop).
(*Stolen this from the Slowtwitch Forums*)
I'm going for platinum...if you guys want to do it talk to me on msn or something, i 'll send you the excel spreadsheet where you can key in the run data etc.

Will continue updating later!
I got attached to MSC Giordano for my attachement, and that is pretty much the worse place you can get into, save for cheers maybe. For this past week i've been standing from 9-630 everyday, and doing stupid mundane jobs that i'd promised myself i'd never do. Like folding clothes. And being fake. I feel horrible having to promote a brand which i dont believe in, and have to hard-sell these clothes to FRIENDS. The other people that are with me in Giordano are not too bad, but they seem to be satisfied, happy even to be doing these mundane jobs.Hooray for them! I for one, do not appreciate the voluntary rotting of my brain (i.e. Pudge's Rot). Just increases my chances of getting Alzheimer's. I decided to come up with a few advertising campaigns which the teachers seem to like...so good i guess. At least i get to exercise my brain.
I'm also having intensive debate training at the same time. Its fun but exhausting. Like Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday i'll be in sch until 930pm at least. Buts its ok, since i'm surrounded by friends. Got a competition at SMU this weekend, and after that i'll have to rush down to the Ritz Carlton for a dinner, trying to see how i can make it to the Ritz at 6pm when i end at 7 at SMU. And i got to change into a dinner jacket. And i have to change because there is no way i m wearing a suit to SMU, because then i'd look like some professional debater, but when i open my mouth everyone will know i m a clown and then the adjudicators will laugh me out of the room. Poor Sharon's going to be so disappointed. :D
Planning to get a 42" Plasma for my room, and speaking of which is undergoing some major "renovation". But it's damn spacious, bigger then master bedrooms in HDB houses, so i'll have ample space chill out in. And also, a side effect of the "renovation" is THAT I HAVE NO BLOODY AIRCON AND I M SWEATING TO DEATH. Luckily i have a huge ass fan and huge ass windows. But i still need my aircon!
I'll upload pictures when i get home. Sch's internet too slow to upload pictures. Lunch now, will continue updating later

DIAO!
Many things have been going on, and really too many to talk about, but mainly i've joined debates, and am taking it rather seriously, and also started doing a few business-y things, and revived my dead xbox 360 (Halo 3 FTW!).
Lets start with yesterday, mainly went to shop for a new fountain with the family at thompson and then out for tea. Actually, while they were shopping for fountains, i was admiring the houses (or more so, the cars in the houses) at the cadlecott/mediacorp area. Really nice houses there, and oh, another thing, i counted like 18 German Shepherds before i left the place. Every single house seems to have at least a pair of German Shepherds! At least they seem friendly though.

Day before that, i had the SICCI Business Plan Competition with Azmi. Was rather nervous leading up to the presentation, as we were mainly up against university students, so we met at my place at 8am ( ! ), for a presentation that was at 12 noon. My dad drove both of us to the Coffee Bean at Raffles Place where we were going to keep rehearsing for our presentations, until i realised that i had left my blazer in my dad's car. The next thing that happened was like something out of a movie set, me in my formal clothes (looking like an FBI Agent) running across Raffles Place to get to my dad's car. Don't ask why i didn't call him, i just didnt have time to think...i think. I managed to get my blazer, and proceeded to have a bagel breakfast with coffee at coffee bean (which sucked...$5 down the drain there) as we needed to buy something so that we could sit there, and Azmi didn't buy anything because he had an convenient excuse ("I'm fasting lar idiot!"). So we rehearsed until around 11 am, and then we went up to the office where we had nothing to do, so.....
(I felt like a little icky teen girl...taking photos in a toilet, but then we were wearing suits...)
So after doing THAT, we went in to give the presentation. We had three highly esteemed judges (cough, cough) and they were pretty nice..except one arrogant f%$@ who taught he knew everything...but i think we did pretty well.
So after the presentation, we felt like our balls were going to break..so we went to watch Balls of Fury at The Cathay, and i was looking like an idiot in formal lugging my bag and laptop, so i was hoping that no one would recognize me, and luckily we got the Grand Cathay, the bigger theater, so no one could see me anyway. The movie was not too bad, had some really laugh-out-loud moments, but i felt really sad for Maggie Q, being forced to make out with such an ugly guy and all. HAHA, yea i know she gets paid like a few million per film...but still!
Also, went for the Halo 3 Launch on September 25th with Josef (forgive the order of my blog entry, i'm just browsing through pictures and then recollecting events as i view them and then blogging about them). We started queuing early and were one the first few to get the game! The game also helped to revive to Xbox 360 which i had not touched due to projects, then exams, then because i was going out everyday.
Me with Master Chief! ZOMG! I know i look retarded, but that's because i had to wear the beliver's outfit! And i'm as tall as Master Chief..HEHE
Besides all this, been going for debate training every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and also been going out very often with friends, practically everyday (ok, everyday!). So i'll try to blog regularly, and will update on the other events when i get the time! Time to go now!
Cheers!
